Independence Day 2026
“How can we remain independent while embracing healthy interdependence?”
Independence means having the freedom to think for ourselves, make choices that reflect our values, and live with integrity. It is also about dignity, self-confidence, and taking responsibility for our own lives.
Yet independence doesn't mean isolation. We all depend on one another in countless ways. Healthy dependence can create connection, support, and community. Unhealthy dependence, however, can slip into control, fear, or losing ourselves in someone else's expectations.
In today's world, where many people are questioning what freedom really means, I've been wondering how we balance personal independence with our responsibilities to one another. How do we stay true to our own values while remaining open, compassionate, and connected? How do we maintain healthy boundaries without closing our hearts?
As I often do, I turned to the Tarot and specifically asked:
“How can we remain independent while embracing healthy interdependence?”
Combined, the 3 cards I pulled, asks us to stay present. It reminds us to be conscious of our basic beliefs (independence), while listening to others (interdependence). Together we can communicate comfortably, collaborate joyfully and keep healthy boundaries!

Attributes: Four of Fire indicates the sharing of joy and relaxing. It is being at ease with how things are developing. Celebrate this holiday with having a committee of support.
Advice: Be strong in yourself in order to prosper. Create a home whether you are by yourself or with others.

Planet: Mars – desire, courage
Attributes: Seven of Fire indicates defiance maintaining your beliefs of your independent beliefs. Follow your convictions. Stand up for your own beliefs.
Advice: Follow your gut.
THREE OF EARTH
Quality: negotiating
Planet: Mars – drive, desire
Attributes: Three of Earth refers to negotiating a business deal or a way of working together. It is synthesizing ideas into successful whole. It suggests being a part of the community.
Advice: Everybody involved has a role. Everyone is connected. Respect and work with others around you.
