Summer Solstice 2026

‍The Summer Solstice is on June 21st! ‍ ‍Solstice means sun stopping.

The first day of summer, is also the longest day of the year. It is when the North Pole tilts directly toward the sun, and when the sun’s zenith is at its farthest point from the equator. Ceremonies are held throughout the world to acknowledge the phenomenon that the sun appears to rise and set, stop, and reverse direction on this day.

In my mind, the Summer Solstice has always stood out. All that light coming in makes me very happy! What do you notice?
